Sea Cadet Volunteers
Do you have enthusiasm and a passion for working with young people? Would you like the opportunity to help launch young people for life, whilst enhancing your skills and meeting new people? Basingstoke Sea Cadets would love to hear from you.
We provide a head start in life for young people through nautical adventure and fun. Our volunteers work directly with young people and behind the scenes, to help make a positive difference. We are based in Winklebury and are currently looking for enthusiastic adult volunteers to join us.
We are looking for Unit Instructors, who will be hands on, teaching cadets. You will run lessons and activities that help cadets progress through the Sea Cadets Experience, gaining qualifications and confidence as they go. This role is ideal if you can support young people on a regular basis, are happy to throw yourself into teaching activities and seek a rewarding role where you will be the key to helping them flourish into confident, capable young adults.
We would also love to expand our Unit Management Team (UMT). If you aren’t able to commit to a regular volunteering role, there are still plenty of ways you can get involved. No commitment is too small. You could volunteer in roles such as Secretary or Fundraising, which are perfect if you are not able to be at the unit every week, or if you have a specialist skill you would like to share.
There are no specific requirements for these roles. Having the right attitude and a passion for improving the lives of young people are the most important things. If you are reliable, keen to learn new things and enjoy working as part of a team, please do contact us at tsmaryrose.communications@outlook.com. We look forward to hearing from you!
