So you can finish a parkrun without walking. But you would like to get a bit quicker. We run a twice weekly training session, Tuesday and Thursday, at 10am. It is completely free and is run by English Athletics qualified coaches. We use various locations around Basingstoke such as the War Memorial park, Old Down at Kempshott, and Down Grange.
We welcome adults of any age – our oldest participant is in his 80s – provided that you don’t have a medical condition that precludes you taking part. Some of our current group can get round parkrun under 20 minutes, others take around 50, with everything in between.
You can do sessions as they suit you. There is no need to commit to a group of sessions – just book in and turn up.
